Longreach State School takes pride in its relationships among staff, students, parents and the community.

Our school has a strong link with the home life of children. Weekly progress reports, regular newsletters and parent information nights reflect the importance we place on school-family connections and the input parents have in the education of our students.

Students have opportunities to participate within the community through academic, cultural and sporting events.

Longreach is a unique community that consists of people from diverse backgrounds. It is a rural centre providing commercial and government services for the surrounding district. It also has some unique tourist attractions and events that make it an interesting place all year round.

Our school presently caters for over 200 families, that are representative of our diverse community.
